|
| | Students at Notre Dame are empowered with Gospel values, Catholic vision, and academic excellence, which lead them to fulfill their unique vocation within the security of a faithful family community.
Founded by the Sisters of Notre Dame in 1928, Notre Dame School continues to provide quality Catholic education to the families of the greater Chico area, primarily serving St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and Our Divine Savior parishes within the Diocese of Sacramento.

| | We recognize families as the prime educators of their children. Encouraged and supported by the students' families and also by others who comprise our community of faith, Notre Dame School serves to create a Catholic Christian atmosphere in which each individual child is nurtured to achieve his or her full and rightful potential--spiritually, intellectually, psychologically, sociologically, aesthetically and physically. Our primary goal is to guide our students toward an understanding of one of the most honorable and fundamental of human creeds: learning is a life-long process. The center of this process is a love of God, neighbor, self and a respect for the environment.

| | | Our Role in Society and Education |
| |
|
| | Notre Dame School offers a highly respected academic education. Parental involvement in both curricular and extra-curricular activities reinforces our educational mission and serves to stimulate each student's desire to realize the values of a well-rounded education. Notre Dame School is an extension of the home and enhances the values and behaviors that are first initiated in the home.
In addition to parental involvement, and equally significant to a successful learning environment, we offer Christ-centered discipline and respect. Adherence to established uniform and conduct codes are important requirements for the self-discipline and respect we encourage. Hand in hand with this are the Christian principles of care, courtesy, and compassion.
Nurturing faith within the community of St. John the Baptist, Our Divine Savior and the surrounding parishes, along with a strong commitment to community service strengthens the development of the well-rounded student.
The students of Notre Dame School experience a strong sense of community. The foundation that is being formed is the building block to a strong and successful future. The Notre Dame student is well prepared and confident to go onto high school, college and into the work force as an asset to the community. Educating students to become community leaders and successful professionals has been a key role of Notre Dame School since 1928.
