Curriculum

Notre Dame School, established in 1928, has offered a highly respected program of academic excellence for grades TK through 8th grade. The curriculum at Notre Dame is held to rigorous standards set by the Diocese of Sacramento, which meet or exceed California State Standards. Our core curriculum includes religion, reading and literature, writing, language arts, science, physical education, history, music, and math.

We are fully accredited by the Western Catholic Education Association (WCEA) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

At Notre Dame, we recognize that every child is unique. We strive to provide a comprehensive and challenging curriculum that meets the needs of all of our children.

High achievers and well-above-average test scores are the products of a committed and hard-working faculty and an extensive program of study. Our students consistently excel at the high school level, as evidenced by their involvement in AP courses, student leadership, and placement in colleges and universities of their choice. In addition, Notre Dame students have earned honors in local and state-level speech and essay contests, spelling and geography bees, and science and history fairs. Thus, our graduates demonstrate preparation for a rich and full academic life at the primary, secondary, and collegiate levels.
